FAQ
Questions we get asked most. Can't find yours? Message us on Instagram or email us.
Ordering & payment
How do I order?
Add coffees to your cart and check out with your delivery details. We email you the payment details right away. You can also order by sending us a message on Instagram.
How do I pay?
By GCash or bank transfer (MariBank). After you place your order, scan the QR code in the order email or on the order page, put your order number in the payment note, and send us your payment screenshot by replying to the email or messaging us on Instagram.
We roast, pack, and ship once your payment is confirmed. Unpaid orders expire automatically after a few days (the deadline is in your order email).
Can I change my order after placing it?
Yes, as long as the courier hasn’t picked it up yet. Message us as soon as possible and we’ll swap the items for you.
Can I reserve a coffee?
Yes. Message us on Instagram or email us with the coffee and how many bags, and we’ll set them aside for you.
Do you supply cafés, or sell in bulk?
We’re not a regular supplier to coffee shops, but a few friends’ shops sell our roasted beans, and some serve them as filter coffee.
There’s no minimum order, and bigger orders get bigger discounts. Message us to talk it through. Freshness still comes first: every bag is freshly roasted and checked to our standard.
Do you have promos or vouchers?
When a promotion is running, you’ll see it at the top of the site, and it’s applied at checkout automatically. If you have a voucher code, enter it under “Have a voucher?” at checkout. One discount applies per order, and discounts never apply to the shipping fee.
Shipping
Can I pick up my order, or do you have a café?
Not for now. We’re a home roastery, so there are no walk-ins or pickups. We ship within the Philippines through local couriers, mainly J&T Express and Lalamove.
How soon will my order ship?
We pack and ship every week. J&T Express orders take 2–3 days to prepare, and the courier usually picks them up the day after they’re packed. Lalamove can pick up the same day, as long as we’re home. Delivery time after pickup depends on the courier and your location.
How much is shipping?
It depends on your region and how many bags you order. The exact fee is shown at checkout before you place your order.
Do you ship outside the Philippines?
We can arrange it. Message us on Instagram or email us with your location and the coffees you’d like, and we’ll work out the shipping with you.
Our coffee
Do you sell ground coffee?
Not for now: we only sell whole beans. Grinding just before you brew keeps the coffee fresher and more flavorful.
Does my order come with anything extra?
Yes. Each bag you buy comes with a small sampler of another coffee, usually 15–30g, roasted by us or by other roasters we like. It’s an easy way to try something new.
Why 90g bags?
We roast in small batches and buy green coffee in small amounts, so a 90g bag lets us offer more coffees at once, and lets you try a new origin without committing to a big bag.
How we source and roast →How fresh is the coffee, and when should I brew it?
Every bag shows its roast date, and we only send out coffee that’s no more than 8 weeks from its roast date. Some coffees are roasted fresh after you order.
Freshly roasted coffee needs time to rest. Our coffees are best brewed about 3–5 weeks after the roast date. The exact window depends on the roast and is written on each bag.
What does “weight loss” on a coffee mean?
Green coffee loses weight as it roasts, mostly water. The percentage tells you about the roast: a lighter roast usually loses less, a darker roast more. We share it for most of our coffees so you can compare roasts and dial in your brew.
More on the Transparency page →I’m new to specialty coffee. Where should I start?
Try one of our washed coffees. They’re clean, bright, and clear in the cup, and they’re the coffees we’re proudest of. Our brew guide has a simple recipe to start with.
Brew guide →Roasting
Can you roast green beans that I provide?
Not at the moment. We roast in small batches and focus on quality over quantity, so we only roast green coffee we’ve sourced and checked ourselves. That way every roast meets our own standard.
How often do you roast?
Every week, usually 3–10 batches, depending on orders and which green coffees we have.
What roaster do you use?
A Skywalker V1 drum roaster. It roasts 300–500g of green coffee per batch, which is why we roast in small batches.
With a small drum roaster, some beans can occasionally show “tipping”: small scorched spots at the tips of the bean. It’s counted as a roast defect, and we can’t always avoid it completely. We keep it to a minimum and sort every bag to our standard, so the coffee you get is still clean and good in the cup. Thanks for understanding.
Can I give feedback on a roast?
Please do. Feedback on our roast level and roast profile is always welcome, good or bad. It helps us roast the next batch better. Reply to your order email or message us on Instagram.
